چکیده
INTRODUCTION Gender dysphoria (GD) is characterized by a marked incongruence between experienced gender and one's assigned at birth. Transsexual individuals present higher prevalence of psychiatric disorders when compared to non-transsexual populations, it has been proposed that minority stress, i.e., discrimination or prejudice, relevant impact on these outcomes. Transsexuals also show increased chances having maltreatment during childhood. Interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-10 tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) are inflammatory cytokines regulate our immune system. Imbalanced levels in such linked history childhood disorders. We differences IL-1β, TNF-α exposure traumatic events adulthood with without GD (DSM-5). METHODS Cross-sectional controlled study comparing 34 transsexual women 31 men. They underwent thorough structured interview, assessing sociodemographic information, mood anxiety symptoms, maltreatment, explicit suicidal ideation. Inflammatory cytokine (IL-1β, TNF-α) were measured multiplex immunoassay. RESULTS Individuals more (p = 0.002) 0.046) than Higher ideation < 0.001) previous suicide attempt rates observed women. However, no the any cytokine. CONCLUSIONS These results suggest exposed stressful from men per se does not play role markers.

متن کاملThe development of acquired equivalence from childhood to adulthood—A cross-sectional study of 265 subjects
Acquired equivalence (AE) is a form of feedback-based associative learning where the subject learns that two or more stimuli are equivalent in terms of being mapped onto the same outcomes or responses. While several studies dealt with how various neurological and psychiatric conditions affect performance on AE tasks (typically with small populations), studies dealing with AE in healthy subjects...
متن کاملImpact of Childhood Adversity and Vasopressin receptor 1a Variation on Social Interaction in Adulthood: A Cross-Sectional Study
BACKGROUND Arginine vasopressin (AVP) plays a role in social behavior, through receptor AVPR1A. The promoter polymorphism AVPR1A RS3 has been associated with human social behaviors, and with acute response to stress. Here, the relationships between AVPR1A RS3, early-life stressors, and social interaction in adulthood were explored. METHODS Adult individuals from a Swedish population-based coh...
